The Australian PMI Council, a body made up of all the
local PMI Chapters in Australia, has moved to recognise
the efforts of project managers and PMI members in
Australia by creating the "PMI Australian
Professional Awards".
The two Awards presented in 2005 were:
PMI Australian Chapters Project Manager of the Year Award
The Award is offered by the Australian PMI (Project Management Institute) Council and recognises the most outstanding project manager of the year. It is open to any project manager working in Australia who has completed (or practically completed) a project in the 12 months preceding the cut off date. The award focuses on the Project Manager and his/her contribution and skill, not the project.
