The PMI Melbourne
Chapter offers the following courses to help
practitioners prepare for the CAPM. For
course times, costs and booking details please refer to
the Training
Schedule on this web site. Introduction to PMI and Certifications Session
A half-day introduction to the PMI and its PMP and
CAPM certification processes is held prior to each
certification training series. It is designed for those
interested in finding out about the benefits of PMI
membership and its certifications. The session also
explains how a Melbourne Chapter training series may
help you if you’re considering a PMI certification.
CAPM preparation and Foundation course
This one course provides both a
foundation of Project Management principles and a
preparation course for PMI's CAPM (Certified
Associate in Project Management) examination. The
attendee may decide if they wish to sit the CAPM
examination after completion of the course (if they
satisfy the experience requirements).
The course is structured to provide each student
with a thorough understanding of the project
management processes needed to successfully deliver
projects "on time and on budget". In
addition to providing a thorough introduction to the
art and science of project management the course
syllabus is designed to cover all of the knowledge
areas required for a candidate to sit for PMI's CAPM
credential. The 5 day preparation series is based on
the globally accepted framework, the Project
Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
All courses are held on a Saturday from 9am to
4.30pm. Registrations commencing at 8.30am. To
register, please e-mail the Professional
