PMI
establishes project management standards, provides
seminars, education programs and professional
certification. PMI is recognised by international
corporations as the official certifying body for project
management professionals. Its members are active
in chapters worldwide and represent the engineering,
construction, telecommunications, pharmaceutical,
utilities, information systems and automotive
industries.
Membership
PMI members have the opportunity to network with
other individuals in project management, share ideas and
experiences, access industry information, attend
seminars and workshops and socialise with peers by
joining a PMI component organisation.
Certifications
PMI conducts a certification program in project
management. The PMI Certifications available are:
- Project
Management Professional (PMP).
PMP is a globally recognised certification which
demonstrates to current and potential employers that
you possess solid experience and specific education
in project management.
- Certified
Associate in Project Management (CAPM). CAPM is
a certification that PMI has developed for those who
have lesser experience than that required for the
PMP examination or are learning Project Management.
