As an additional service to members, PMI Melbourne Board has undertaken to assist in the establishment of Study Groups for those planning to sit the PMP examination. The aim of Study Groups is to provide a forum for those sitting the exam so they can assist each other, as well as access formal study tools and products. The Study Group complements the training courses being conducted by the PMI, as it encourages debate and discussion amongst project managers across a diversity of industries and functions.
Study Groups are a members’ only benefit for financial members of the PMI Melbourne Chapter. Non-members may attend provided proof of completion of membership application is supplied.
Study Groups will be self-managed. Should you wish to participate in a Study Group, please complete the proforma below. Every effort will be made to place you in a group at your chosen time and location. You will be expected to nominate a study group Chair for the group to which you are assigned. The Chair will take responsibility for coordinating meetings and the distribution of resources.
Approach:
The approach should be to get together on a weekly / bi-weekly basis for around an hour over the time of the courses to allow members to discuss and prepare for the course and/or exam.
